Many ethics and compliance teams were built with people who have strong legal or risk backgrounds. Roles and responsibilities were defined by traditional compliance risk or process areas. But that is changing. Different skills and experience are required for compliance teams to successfully deploy interventions in rapidly changing business environments.  The use of data, technology, and analytics is increasing as is cross-functional collaboration. Compliance professionals must understand the language of data and finance.
