Vice President, Global Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Global Security, ADM

Ben Bard is Vice President, Global Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Global Security for Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). As Chief Compliance Officer, he leads ADM’s Office of Compliance and oversees the company’s global compliance policies and programs, including the code of conduct, ethics helpline, internal investigations, anti-corruption, trade compliance, antitrust/competition law, data privacy, and conflicts of interest. In his capacity as Head of Global Security, Ben is responsible for crisis preparedness, travel security, executive protection, and enterprise-wide security strategies and risk mitigation.

Bard serves on ADM’s Global Compliance & Risk Committee (chair), Diversity Council, Reputation Committee, Enterprise Risk Management Committee, and Global Leadership Forum. He also meets quarterly with the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining ADM in 2014, Bard worked for The Coca-Cola Company, where he was responsible for developing and managing the company’s international ethics and compliance programs. Prior to his time at Coca-Cola, Bard worked in the financial services industry in a variety of legal, compliance, and risk management roles.

Mr. Bard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Mr. Bard has also completed Harvard University Business School’s Executive Development Program.

Mr. Bard serves on the boards of the Ethics & Compliance Association and the Chicago Legal Aid Society, and guest lectures on corporate compliance at local law schools. Mr. Bard was named a 2018 Top Mind by Compliance Week.
